The EMS is an online placement management system for the students and staff at The University Of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia.

It allows students to apply and manage work placements associated with their courses. It also allows course coordinators to manage these placements efficiently.

Developed a local tourism site for North Queensland for a Cairns travel agency. The site was developed using PHP/MySQL and a number of other online systems.

Work Experience

Web Developer - The University Of Melbourne - Melbourne (2013 - current)

Currently I am employed by The Melbourne University developing onlione solutions as part of their E-Learning team. Working on the EMS and other Learning Management Systems where I integrate external sites to the LMS using LTI containers.

Contractor, Owner Operator - Tropotek (2008 - 2013)

I managed projects, clients and developed a PHP framework with the aim of rapid development/deployment of PHP driven solutions. Also implemented a number of sites to manage clients and their accounts.

Senior Web Developer - Wildlime - Cairns (2006 - 2008)

The Senior Developer role responsible for in-house systems, diagnosing hardware and software issues, ensuring all other developers were overcoming any issues that stopped them from completing their assigned tasks.

Web Developer - Australia Online Travel - Melbourne (2004 - 2006)

Part of a team developing and maintaining a distributed tourism based reservation system(IRES). PHP5/Apache/Linux/Postgress was used as the back-end engine and also for the multiple front-end websites. The back-end used a number of REST XML web services to communicate to remote systems to retrieve travel package data and process online payments through a secure payment gateway.
